Hasee Toh Phasee is a romantic comedy film directed by Mohit Suri and produced by B.P. Singh. It stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Riteish Deshmukh, Zoya Hussain and Farah Khan in lead roles with Satish Kaushik as the music composer & lyricist of film's songs.
This movie is about two guys who meet at an internet cafe and fall in love immediately but due to their different situations they cannot be together. One lives in USA and is coming to India for his marriage with an arranged match while the other one has no money and nowhere to go. The movie begins with the two guys meeting at the cafe. Both of them are not able to find what they want but still continue to meet daily at the same location. One of them is always late, he doesn't have a cell phone so he calls his friend on his way. He doesn't know what love is, neither does he know how to handle it. He thinks that all girls are like that until he meets his heroine who belongs into a conservative family, which was not arranged or forced by her family unlike him. The other guy is a very nice boy, he knows what love is and how to handle it. He understands his hero well but because of their financial condition, they both are unable to be together. The story moves forward with all the funny situations that occur between these two friends which ends up in their marriage with two different girls. Finally they are faced with the fact that they cannot run away from destiny for everyone has a purpose in life. The two boys end up making the best of what life has given them and become true friends forever. The music of the movie was composed by Satish Kaushik with the lyrics of Kumaar. The album contains 6 songs.
Hasee Toh Phasee has received mostly positive reviews from the critics. The Times of India rated 4 out of 5 stars and says, "Vineet Kumar Singh, while not a regular on the Hindi screen, has that 'it' factor about him." Bollywood Hungama while giving 3.5 out of 5 stars said, "On the whole, Hasee Toh Phasee is a simple film which is quite enjoyable."
